You have a non-standard gtk+2 install. Mtr was built against this:

gtk+2-2.12.9-i486-1.tlz
That library should not be upgraded, since it runs the risk of breaking a lot of packages in VL6.0. If you reload the original from the repo, that should fix the problem.
