Title: Problem after start
Post by: Fitosept on March 06, 2011, 02:05:00 am
The problem is that after the start my desktop freezes for some minutes, and the notepad app is starting showing me some strange numbers and the right click from the mouse is starting itself on start too.

Your desktop is in   V6 Soho

What was done when it froze
Hope you didn't kill  it by Ctrl+Alt+Bkspc  or power button

Was  (ps ax) or (top) used to see what was running

Did any App or browser function act up before this

Check /var/log contents for error Msg's

KDE install usually includes a help manual for all functions

IIRC, Each utility has help button

See if that widget was locked

Your Start (App launcher)  has HELP in menu - use it

If a "notes"  window is displayed on desktop left- click on top_right-corner to close
If that fails, use
 ps ax (to display running processes)

Example { 17287 ?        Sl     0:01 /usr/bin/knotes}
use
kill -9 17287

 (the number nine cannot be ignored,  in this example, "17287" is process number running "notes"
