  Can anyone confirm for me the modprobe.conf and wpa_supplicant entries I should have for the BCM4312 wireless in this lap top to work properly? Ta.

Think the driver you see being built in the video is in the repo now.

Also, note the discussion of blacklisting the driver that is already in vl.

I'm using linux 7. It appears to have Broadcom drivers. Are they no good for the BCM4312 chip?

what I'm after in the first instance is what the module I'm hoping to link to alias eth1 to is called and what option I should pick in Wicd's preference. Currently only thing I have in lsmod is
  lib80211  2users lib80211_crypt_tkip, wl.  don't know if it's relevant or not. I have a connection, but it's a bit flakey

 I have bcm43xx blacklisted. Should I leave it alone or remove?
