Title: VL on a netbook
Post by: communicator.ngn on September 10, 2012, 11:41:36 pm
I'd like to try out VL on my Compaq Mini 110, which ‒ of course ‒ doesn't have a CD drive. While not a complete ignoramus, "boot from USB stick" is something I've only vaguely heard about <g>.Thanks in advance for patient advice here!

Check out this tutorial: http://www.opensourcebistro.com/blog1/?s=unetbootin

Quick tip/shortcut: I have got this to work simply by using a downloaded image and using unetbootin, then renaming the "init.lz" file to "init.gz" (in /isolinux).
