Post by: wigums on November 27, 2015, 09:24:19 am
Note: VL 7.2 only.
works on both 7.1 and 7.2
7.1 needs a little tweaking to get broadcom going. instructions are here
http://vlcore.vectorlinux.com:10080/git/m0e.lnx/sta-builder (http://vlcore.vectorlinux.com:10080/git/m0e.lnx/sta-builder)

the following applies to both 7.1 AND 7.2
first you need to blacklist a few modules

use your preffered editor to create and open a file we will name blacklist.conf

Code: [Select]
nano /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf
and enter
Code: [Select]
blacklist b43
blacklist ssb
blacklist bcma
blacklist bcm43xx
blacklist bcm80211
blacklist brcmsmac

save and exit

reboot and it should now be using the "wl" module and all is good
