Title: VL-7.2-STD-B1 menu issue
Post by: jsalpha2 on July 03, 2016, 07:59:54 am
Fresh install from VL-7.2-STD-B1.iso.  So I don't like the Whisker menu.  No problem, remove it and replace it with the old Application Menu.  Now a problem, after rebooting the Application menu does not work.  Clicking on it results in a flashing, no menu pops up sometimes the whole panel disappears.  Put Whisker back, everything works fine.  Need a quick fix.  Thanks

with the whisker menu can you go to menu -> settings -> appearance
change the style and then try the regular application menu again?

I'm unable to reproduce this.
This is my 32-bit install after removing whiskermenu and replacing it with the old applications menu.

Can anyone else reproduce it?

Old applications menu works on my machine.

A good test would be to create a new user and see if problem persists in the new profile.

A new account should get the default whiskermenu setup.  Id still be interested on the results though

Tried re-installing.  Actually tried both the 32 and 64 bit versions.  The problem seems to be gone.
Thanks for the help.  I am going to keep the VL64 just because 64 seems better than 32, (I can't see much
difference in real life.
