Title: VL-7.2-STD-RC3
Post by: black-clover on July 07, 2017, 10:57:42 am
I just installed VL-7.2-STD-RC3 as a test distro. I tried slapt-update and got an error, sources not found. I checked the given url and efectively there's nothing in http://vectorlinux.osuosl.org/veclinux-7.2/packages.
so i edited the /etc/slapt-get/slapt-getrc file and changed the source url to http://vlcore.vectorlinux.com/pkg/untested/veclinux-7.2/x86/ and run slapt-get --update and it worked fine.
I just wish to know if the source it's OK before I run a system upgrade

thanks for the prompt reply. Since it's a test distro I won't worry too much.
As for the first impression it works very well, everything is smooth, the spanish keyboard set up worked fine both in vasm and in xfce setup, everything's  quite polished.

Good to know.

btw,
doing a slapt-get update now wont do much good... nothing has been updated since the ISO was built, so you are up to date if you installed RC3.

Updates will become available after the release has been announced.
