How to install new skype in VL?
I used rpm2tgz and I have got tgz file. When I do command
installpkg I got warning that there is no desc file and installation stops.
Please tell me what to do.

I ran a test on a fresh install of VL64:

First installed rpm and rpm2tgz. Downloaded the .rpm file from Skype and ran rpm2tgz on it. Only warning was about non-standard file name.

installpkg (as root) did complain about no description, but installation completed and the application does come up. Been so long since I've used Skype I don't remember my account details, so did not check it any further.

I only see 64 bit downloads for the app, so it would not work on a 32 bit system.
