Title: (SOLVED)thunderbird in german

hi,
i have installes soho 5.8 and thunderbird too(2.0 from linuxpackages...)

problem is, is there a german languagepack available somewhere?
cant find anyone...in firefox this wasnt a prob.

same with openoffice..need a german languagepack too..
in google i found only unfinished threads of this topic..alas

anyone an idea, where i can get it?

You can grab the german version of open office here:
http://de.openoffice.org/
I think a langpack can be found here: http://openoffice.bouncer.osuosl.org/download.php so you dont need to reinstall the full pack.

thanks for the links..

the first one is overloaded...will try later

so with the second one i have to install the whole package...i will give it a try


btw: from where i can get  the sqlitexxx.tgz package

i unfortunately deinstalled it (i thougt they belonged to a database...and i never use a databaes...but amarok...so amarok isnt playing now)
and the sqlite-packages never shown in gslapt or kpackagemanager ...

yeah, I think is the only way, I cant find any lang pack.., but is a little one and easy to install  ;)

About oo, I tryed some rpm's for spanish lang and sources too. Both worked, you can find several rpm and deb packs with google  ;). You need to convert them to tgz with the  rpm2tgz tool, may be you want ti give it a try.

so...thunderbird orks well now.

the issue with openoffice isnt important now..maybe when i am in leisure mood, i will conquer this topic
