Hi,

Where is the tool for CD burning in V 5.8 Standard  ? Is it K3b ?

With 5.8 Standard it is Graveman.  I find it quite good for a lightweight app.

Actually, I've found Graveman to be impossibly buggy.  With my DVD burner it gives an error claiming it can't finalize a CD-R when in fact it's done it and the CD is perfect.  I wasted time and CDs burning three copies of SOHO before I figured that out.  k3b is far better.  xcdroast is also very good but has a fairly complex UI.  Both are in the repository.

The best lightweight burner I've found is xfburn, the burner for XFCE.  It's limited in features and functionality but it works as it should.  It is not packaged for VL... yet.

Haven't noticed yet, but I've only been burning data cd's.

No doubt about that!  But I'm trying to keep this box clean for packaging.
