check out fotox!!! HDR images image stitching (assisted the program does most of the work) for panoramas....  8) HDR panoramas  8)

needs a lot of ram.... at least 512 + 512 to a gig of swap to stitch eight 7.1 megapixel images

if you try more than three 7.1 megapixel images in 512mb you fayl(or at least i did)!

the final jpeg of 8 stitched was 16+ mb HUGE!

I packaged a panorama app, Hugin, for the Multimedia Bonus Disc. It should be included in the testing repo. It has support for automatic control point creation and amazing color correction. I also built it with support for the excellent enblend program which provides high quality HDR blending. You might want to give it a try: http://hugin.sourceforge.net/

I  have had a lot of success with it and it produces very professional results with minimal tweaking.

cb88, I just installed hugin with slapt-get without any problem. Be sure you have the correct repos enabled. That would be /packages, /extra, /patches and /testing. Keep in mind that /testing has some... well... non-tested apps on it ;D
