Title: VL64 small issues
Post by: Venturer on May 03, 2008, 11:28:38 am
I've been using VL64 for about a month now, and have to admit that it's pretty amazing.  However, there are a few issues I haven't been able to work out:

1) Gslapt can never seem to connect to http://vectorlinux.osuosl.org/VL64-5.9/patches/ or http://vectorlinux.osuosl.org/VL64-5.9/extra/.  Do they even exist currently, or am I doing something terribly wrong?

2) vPackager errors out when i select certain packages.  As far as I can tell the only ones that do this are for /opt/ (specifically, I've been trying to build grub, but it is not exclusive to that package)  The message given to me is "[32] Bad string conversion.  MBuildFromCrux.?.0"

3) When trying to build some - not all - packages through terminal, I get an error "configure: error: neither start nor _start is defined."  I'm using the most recent gcc on the repositories (4.1.2)

That's all - at least for now - that's hasn't been working at or beyond my expectations.  Any help with any of these issues would be much appreciated.

They don't exist yet.
I am not sure about the other issues, I had some problems with gambas apps too.
