Title: Camera device causing problems in gtkam
Post by: wcs on June 10, 2008, 01:54:13 pm
Hello, all.

I got a digital camera to be recognized by gtkam by using "add camera" (a Canon IXUS 800).
However, pressing "detect" does not work by itself, because in order for the camera to be initialized I need to select a particular port (say 1, 4).

If I disconnect the camera and later plug it in again, gtkam cannot access it, because the device is now different (1, 5) and I need to manually select the port again.

Anyone else having this problem?
This occurs with both the older versions of libgphoto2 and gtkam and the ones in the testing repo.
(the libgphoto rules in /etc/udev contain the id for this camera)

Thank you!

Nope. I'm with VL-HOT.
Could that be the reason? I'll give it a try.
