I've got two laptops running VL5.9.

On one (Compaq - see sig line) I have the firewall running, and can access the internet reliably by cable (wireless possible but less reliable).

On the other (Fujitsu - see sig line), I have been running wireless internet OK with the firewall off.  Today I decided to get the firewall running, and lost the internet.  When I removed the firewall again, the internet was back.

What changes do I need to make to run wireless internet with the firewall?

Wow - way old, and you've most likely got an answer by now.

JIC, did u try the program menu, <system>, then either firestarter or Vector Control Center / firewall?

Sounds like the way to go was to have created permissions for your outbound html and ftp ports, at a minimum.
