I love electronic muzick of all kinds
It's like all I listen to these days
I'm currently downloading the Frontline Assembly discography and seeding the Blade Runner OST by Vangelis and Front 242 - No Comment (flac) as well as the entire Susumu Hirasawa discography
It's kind of thrilling that there is someone in Japan downloading it from me now
Discuss yr favorite electronick muzick here

When I get bored, I put an FM radio on top of a computer - and let it sing its electronic-junction-jumping song.

“I was walking home one night, after imbibing a few too many, whereupon I discovered this rural nightclub. The music sounded really good, like Kraftwerk, but the door was locked so I knocked on it and tried to ascertain what they were playing. When I awoke the next day I was reliably informed that I had been banging on the door of an electricity generator” - Oscar Wilde

I have a waffles.fm account now
You can get a lot of great music torrents there, especially lossless
I'll send out invites to anyone who wants one when I have some

flip city, ich habe mich deine empfohlene Website reingezogen ... geil I was walking home one night... an electricity generator
very funny! related: anyone here play/program synthesizers? No, but when I'm totally on my own I'd like to take up music, although can say in advance whether I'll be successful. (I may have to exploit mathematical methods to make up for my lack of talent.) I'd like to do dark electro, like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0KJmX-GPIcI did coax QBASIC into playing a monophonic rendition of a lesser known Beethoven piece once

> http://www.youtube.com ... seems more like your basic scream grunge to me ... like the neighbor kids do until someone call's the cops on them I'm not aware of the genre "scream grunge", although there is "post-grunge," which is a terrible and therefore popular genre (Nickelback, Theory of a Deadman, etc.) If anything, dark electro vocals tend to sound like black metal vocals, black metal of course being very different from any kind of grunge (No not by me - I'm just as guilty of overamping, but certainly not of screaming like a deranged banshee from pluto's underworld) I don't really see the difference between some of the sounds used by Kraftwerk and harsh vocals If amplified and tweaked a little, for example, the monologues The Voice of Energy and Uranium from Radioactivity would certainly qualify as instances of harsh vocals, as would the German voice in Numbers from Computer WorldEINS ZWEI DREI VIER FÜNF SECHS SIEBEN ACHT ... what is he counting anyway? In any case, this song Morphine is really about a person dying of inoperable stage IV cancer who desires an increasingly high dose of morphine Regardless, if that's not your style, here's an example of music I like with clean vox: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2q6gQkYkaQVNV Nation - Carbon

I'm not aware of the genre "scream grunge" ...certainly a description, and not the exact title of the genre, I'm sure. I have QUITE descriptive terms and terminology to describe a lot of the stuff I hear......

I'm pedantic, and I just don't want dark electro and black metal being associated with the likes of Nickelback http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUbv_D9G1KgSusumu Hirasawa - Sim CityI hope the future really does turn out like this I might even go to the backwards banana monarchy this album takes place in if Hirasawa's concept is realized I torrented his entire discog and I'm not even done with just this album; it's so incredible

(Though I wouldn't at all be surprised if they failed to bathe frequently enough.) I'm pedantic, and I just don't want dark electro and black metal being associated with the likes of Nickelback
Man, isn't that like saying Bach is worse than Beethoven? <g>
