Hi all,
installed VL6.0 Light on old Dell Latitude L400. W/o CD drive I had to PXE boot, then installed from USB pen, all fine.
The little laptop has a Cirrus Logic CS4281 PCI Audio controller.
The snd_cs4281 module is loaded correctly, however there is no sound. What could this be, where should I look?

some help would be appreciated,
thx,
Alex

Try to configure your sound card again. As root, in a terminal, run command "alsaconf". Next, run command "alsamixer". Use the right/left arrows to select control, up arrow/down arrow to adjust. Start by setting all controls to maximum. Reboot and test.
