I was curious what Screenhunter was so I downloaded it and ran it in Wine.  You may be interested to know it runs just fine in Wine.  It seems to be a pretty simple screen capture program.  I've included a picture of Screenhunter on my VL6.0 Standard desktop.
There are lot's of screencapture programs for Linux. You are using Soho so you might want to try ksnapshot.
Ksnapshot should be under the graphics category in your menu.

There are even two programs in the testing repository that will capture movies off your desktop gtk-recordmydesktop and xvidcap.  Xvidcap is what I use to make my tutorials suitable for youtube.  It can also take singe pic's as well as movies if that is all you need.
Ohhh, and there is also the import command.  Just Alt+f2 (brings up the run program dialog box) type
import picname.png
and your curser will turn into a cross. Drag a square of any size with that cross and it will take a picture of that area.

There's more but that should get you started.

In KDE (SOHO), just press the "PrtSc" button to capture and open ksnapshot.
