This be a Windowa XP box I'm working on. I've used ophcracker to this point to no avail.

Thanks to bigpaws for the link. It's a fine program, however no go for this rig!
Cannot find value\SAM\Domains\Account\Users\Names\Compaq_Owner

Perhaps more information about the system you are
working on would help. Like the Windows version
including service pack. That way more help maybe
possible.

It's on a Compaq Presario SR1820NX. OS is windowsXP home edition ; service pack 2; WD 160 G hard drive.

There is a utility in Hirens Boot disk which allows you to create a new administrator when you boot up with the disk.  Sign in to that new administrator account when you boot to Windows. From there you can set what ever passwords you want on the other accounts.  I have the disk at work I'll see if I can get the application name for you.
