I'm not sure if this should go here or not, so if not just tell me where.
when I do a search in the forum i get redirected to verctor.ecosq.com which seems to have the search results.
first the cert for this site is not valid. I get "vector.ecosq.com uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown.
(Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)"
second the site looks awful. why the change from the original?
thanks

Evil Overlord rule 58 My doomsday device will not employ a large red digital countdown device unless it is absolutely necessary. If a countdown device proves to be necessary, the doomsday device will be set to activate when the counter reaches 00:10:00, rather than 00:00:00.

The results for a search include results from three seperate sources.
Those are the forum, sqi howto and the sqi support site all for Vector linux. This information is not able to be presented through the actual forum.
If you have suggestions about the Sqi site I know that Sqi would be open to suggestions.
I hope this answers your questions.

Perhaps this should be a new thread but whenever I use the *forum* search (the one next to "help") I get all of the threads in the New Packages forum + a few that actually have hits for the search terms I used... This is FF & Opera. Do you get this as well?
Sorry for the hijack but I guess this could be a useful "forum meta thread"?!?

I've found that if you check one of the checkboxes under options in the advanced search (the same search thingy that you just mentioned but just click on the "advanced search" button) then it narrows your results a lot.

I have received and answer to your browser problem. Seamonkey uses an older gecko version. This creates an incompatibility with that browser rendering, and also the reason that the security certificate shows as not being valid. The certificate I have been assured is valid.
Also note that FF 2 is not supported as well for this application.
Apparently this stems from java.
