I'm trying to set up dual monitors. I put in an ISA monitor card (which does work) and plugged in a second monitor (the first monitor is plugged into the built-in monitor port). I then booted up the computer but it stopped booting when it got to something about floppy drive drivers (I think). Before that, I noticed something about hard drive cache dumping not supported or something like that. I think that running vxconf might set up my monitors for proper dual use but I can't even boot right now. Would booting to tui instead of gui work maybe? Any other suggestions?

Daniel,

did you make any progress on this?

I don't have any suggestions, but am looking at trying VL on a dual monitor system (using a newer GForce Nvidia card).

cheers

I eventually figured out that the ISA card that I was using was probably just too old and either wasn't compatible or didn't work. I did however, find a sample xorg.conf for a dual monitor setup in a thread somewhere on this forum. I copied and saved it and it is below. I may try a dual monitor setup again sometime with the PCI monitor card from another computer.
