Vector stalls on Disk partitioning step on Gateway computer
« on: October 29, 2009, 03:30:20 pm »
I am trying to install Vector Linux on a Gateway computer. But it stays on Disk partitioning step for about 15 minutes now. It says "Working" on the bottom of window, and "please wait". How long should I wait? or what else could I do? Frank

Can you post the hardware specs for your computer? Was the computer known to work previously?
The following sentence is true. The previous sentence is false.

VL 6.0 SOHO KDE-Classic on 2.3 Ghz Dual-core AMD with 3 Gigs of RAM

Sorry Daniel and Moe.  I went ahead and tried linux boot option and solved that problem, but now I cant get X configured so I may have to post help for that one soon. So I think solved one problem but have a new one. Frank
