Hi All,
I have Vector 6 (non live) installed.
Everytime I boot up I have to manually run Wicd to connect to my wired internet connection.

How do I automate this so that when I boot up into Vector I automatically have access to the internet?

I am assuming you mean Vec6.0 light.

To autostart Wicd daemon for your system, add:
Code:
/usr/sbin/wicd
to
Code:
/etc/rc.d/rc.local
This will connect you to your local network

To autostart client for user when using icewm add
Code:
/usr/bin/wicd-client
to
Code:
[code]~/.icewm/startup
[/code]
This will show the Wicd GUI when you log in.

This also assumes you are using icewm for your window manager. For another window magager add
Code:
/usr/bin/wicd-client
to
Code:
~/.YourWindowManager/startup
