« on: November 17, 2009, 11:12:12 am »
how can I restore xorg.conf.back file in VL6 standard. I tried using VL6 lite : (as root) cp /etc/X11/xorg.conf.back/mnt/hda5/etc/X11...but was unable.

Not sure if you have a typo in your command, but there would need to be a space between ..xorg.conf.back and /mnt/hda5..

Try using Midnight Commander on the command line (command mc). It can make your life much easier.

working as root, copied xorg.conf-vesa to xorg.conf using VL6 lite. Back into VL6 standard now. Thanks.
