configure wine on vl6.0 kde for multiple users
« on: November 27, 2009, 03:42:47 pm »
Hello all. I'm very new to vector linux or any linux os for that matter.
I have installed wine as root and have installed microsoft office.
Wine and the installed office programs show up in my menu when logged on as root but I can't get these to show up in the other users start menus.
I have tried to copy system.reg after installing programs but I must not be copying it to the right place.
Where are the global registry files in VL6.0?
Any ideas where I'm going wrong?

Once installed by root, Wine is supposed to run as a regular user.

Delete your your Windows programs from the root account and re-install them from your user account.

Thanks Nightflier. I'm a newbie and I am really liking Vector Linux.
There is a beautiful world out there once you get away from windows.
I'm hooked !
Thanks again,
