Would somebody care explaining me the the use and the sense of existence of the Appfinder program?

I've installed wine package (by gslapt) but I Appfinder dosn't list it. What's this thing for then?

Cheers

Wine itself will not appear in a menu, only the programs that it installs will be in the menu. If you click on a Windows .exe file or issue the command: wine name-of-file.exe
then it will run the .exe file. I think Appfinder only looks in the menu for programs.
