Hi Everyone,
I have a Macbook and would like to get wireless working.  I have tried using ndiswrapper with the windows for mac driver with no sucess.  PClinuxOS and Suse 11 pick it up right away.  Does anyone have this working?

Do you have any information on the wireless chip?
Manufacturer? Model?

Sorry about that-its a Broadcom BCM4328 802.11a/b/g/n according to PCLinuxOS. I have already tried ndswrapper using the winxp drivers, but it said no wireless cards were found.

Which release of vector 6 is this? light, or standard, KDE-classic?

I think kernel support has improved for broadcom chips.
You might try installing new kernel and kernel modules.

Run that in a terminal as root.

Most likely, you're using lilo for bootloader, so you'll need to execute

vliloconf
as root and just follow the prompts.
Reboot after that and choode your new new kernel at boot time. See if that gives you wireless.

Thanks for the quick responses.  Everything went without a hitch, but I am still getting no wireless cards found.

I have already tryed that driver to no avail.  Is there a way I could boot PClinuxOS and copy the driver from that os?

do you mean you have already installed that package? or tried that driver version?

it is very possible that you tried that driver version against an older kernel.
proprietary drivers are kernel-specific.

Ok, just tried it against the latest kernal with the result.  I installed the driver with installpkg then tred to set up wireless in vasm.  Is this right or am I missing something more fundamental?

A reboot maybe after installing the driver?
Kernel modules are loaded at boot time.
