« on: December 21, 2009, 03:34:13 pm »

Could someone please walk me through installing the live tools I'd like to make a live dvd backup of my current system in case anything ever goes wrong with it... Someone mentioned the live tools to me and it sounds great but I am not sure what the packages in gslapt are called....

Thanks!

The .tlz package for vl-live-tools is here: http://vectorlinux.osuosl.org/Uelsk8s/vl-live-tools-1.0.7-i586-1vl59.tlz
Yes, it is a VL 5.9 package but there isn't a 6.0 package and the 5.9 one will still work on 6.0. After you download it, just install with installpkg. There will then be an entry in your menu under System called vmklive. Open that and it will guide you through the rest of the process.
