It's pretty simple. http://www.wikihow.com/Create-a-Torrent

If you're going to seed it, you should most likely create the torrent itself along with the seed.

It's a pretty straight forward process... My main problem is with the trackers... I dont know if I need to provide them... if I do which one? can I use more than one? There is a link to what is supposed to give you a list of trackers on that site you linked, but the link returns a sql error... so not good.

You should provide a public tracker. Some of the more popular are:

ThePirateBay.org

Mininova.org

Torrentz.com

IsoHunt.com

BTJunkie.com

TorrentBox.com

TorrentReactor.net

Yay!... I got it.

I my dear friends, am no longer ignorant re: torrents.

If anyone is interested, I created a test of the 7.0 RC1.7 and have currently 2 hosts seeding it.
Download and seed to help me test... I need to make sure I did this right.

I have loaded VL5.8 Standard Gold on a P200 machine with 128MB RAM and it worked fine. But with only 2.5GB of hard drive space you will have to exclude some of the packages. I suggest excluding browsers you don't need, maybe the Gimp, the kernel source, etc and it should then fit in 2.5GB of space. You only need 256MB of swap space with that amount of RAM.

If you really want an older version of VL get them here: http://vectorlinux.osuosl.org/

(that link by the way is on our webpage, under downloads).
This will probably get me banned.
Go dig in the dumpster behind COMP USA and see if you can upgrade. It is 2011+1/2
Ridiculous.
