Merry Christmas to all!
We have been going down the Linux road for more than a decade. I am so happy I went "all linux" some 5 or 6 Christmases ago. We were able, not without some struggle, to break away from the constant expense of keeping up to date with Windows stuff...not just the expense of the programs, but the expense of training folks to use them. We are no longer enslaved to Word Perfect, Quickbooks, Quatro Pro, Timeslips and a host of other expensive programs. Good as they may be, Lyx, nolapro, Gnumeric and ETM are better. For what we do. Our bottom line has steadily improved, not just because we no longer pay the "Gates tax," but also because our linux programs work. Gslapt on the non-testing repositories is rock solid.
Many on this forum have been crucial to our success and for that we give sincere thanks. I won't mention names, for I am sure to forget someone. But I don't forget them. Thanks to all. And, again:
Merry Christmas
John
