Initially, I installed freenx-server from the old repository per MOE-lnx's HowTo thread. freenx-server requires netcat, but I can't find it in the active (or old) respositories. I was hoping that this package woudl check for the dependencies, but it didn't. Where can I find netcat?
For some reason it hasn't been picked up as a dep for freenx-server. I've built it, but it will require testing, which I can't do for the moment. You should be able to install it using Gslapt from the testing repo.
Regarding freenx-server, I've used it for many years in other distros and it's a great tool. Please move this to the active repositories (with dependencies).
Sorry, but if it is missing a dep, it will stay in testing for the present. Moe-lnx will need to check the package and if necessary rebuild it. Anyhow, can you try it with the new netcat build and let us know if that fixes the problem?
