Printer that works well with vector linux?
« on: January 03, 2010, 04:27:30 am »
I've been thinking about buying a new color printer and I was curious if anyone knows of some inexpensive printers that work well with vectorlinux out of the box? I'd much rather buy a printer for my linux box that have to keep using the windows box to print documents...

Thanks for any thoughts...

Steven

I've used HP Printers pretty successfully.  The f4280 is very inexpensive.

Also, if you run  this in the terminal...
locate hp*ppd | less
You will get a list of the hp machines your system already has drivers for.
Just curious.  What printer do you have right now?
