I downloaded 5.9 live iso to see if I liked it so I tried running live it booted nicely w/ no problem till it got to the part where it should INIT runlevel 4 and I got this message, to the effect of can't enter runlevel4 no window manager. kde gnome icewm etc etc dropping to run level 2. Then I was allowed to log in as root on a terminal. I tried looking into directories,using various commands( init, startx xfconfig etc) but no luck. I did however find kde directory but that is as far as I could get. How do you get a window mgr to start at boot up? TIA
