hi
My googling skills sucks on this matter.
Every time I create a new folder on one of my three hard drives it freezes when the execution button hits.
What are my options for troubleshooting this matter?

I did resize this drive.  It has caused me no problems before or after resizing.

thanks

So, every time I tried to create or delete a folder on this drive, the computer would freeze.
Googling for a week was an interesting read on this problem in XP.

running these two commands;

mount -o remount,ro /dev/hdd2
reiserfsck --fix-fixable /dev/hdd2

told things were fine.  Nothing fixed, man!

Now I can create and delete folders on this drive.
Must be ritual magic, huh.

Who knows? These things happen. We learn to deal with them. Good job sticking with it and fixing it. Smiley
