Hi everybody!

Again i'm here with another issue with HP products. Now it's a flat bed scanner. A HP Scanjet 2200C.

I've been consulting a lot of info about how can i make SANE, XSANE an others recognize my scanner.

First try with /sbin/lsusb (not root), and give me this:

Quote
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 03f0:0605 Hewlett-Packard ScanJet 2200c
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 04b8:0007 Seiko Epson Corp. Printer
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub

Obviously, the system is seeing the scanner. then i run sane-find-scanner, and return this

Quote
found USB scanner (vendor=0x03f0 [Hewlett-Packard], product=0x0605 [HP ScanJet 2200C], chip=LM9832/3) at libusb:002:002

and with scanimage -L doesn't show any device.

But with this command works. Not the way that i need, or the quality. But works

Quote
scanimage -d plustek:libusb:002:002 -x 210 -y 200 --format png > test.png

So. Why Xsane, even the HP Device Manager can't see the scanner. What i have to configure to make it work?

I've been reading the .conf archives in the sane directory in /etc/sane.d, in special the plustek.conf, but i don't modify anything.

Sorry my poor english.

By the way, I'm using Vector Linux Standard 6.0. kernel 2.6.27.12.

Thanks in advance.

Aldo
