Where is Btrfs and the unreleased Xserver 1.8, for testing?
I'm taking a shot in the dark here, but I would venture a guess that both are too bleeding edge to make it into SOHO 6.  I think that even trying to "play" with either of those in a testing scenario would render a VL 6.x system useless - they probably depend on updated "everything-important".

I think it would be good for vector to release two SOHO versions at one time, the 32bit and the 64bit
for those serious SOHO users on newer machines.
Again, a ventured guess is that the amount of time put into the 32bit release has been so great that it's virtually impossible to release a 64bit at the same time, let alone anytime in the near future.  Hopefully VL7 will be able to produce a viable 64bit release.

Ok, maybe not for the current addition, but as a test sample like the way you have a 64bit for testing.

A fresh install will make you smile, however, ext4 is stable, but over time, I notice some serious performance regressions. I'll try slapt-get  --clean and autoclean.  It don't seem to help much.

Awesome, time to upgrade ye olde Media Box to new SOHO!

Also, can I just say I love the graphical installer environment.  I mean, it lets me play games for crying out loud!

Thanks folks, looks good.

If you think bete 3 is good you should look at beta 4.4.1.  Shocked
