Hi guys! I'm in the process of moving to another place, and I came across my little old p2 300 MHz laptop. I booted it, and it worked just fine. The battery that keeps the clock going is dead, but otherwise the old beastie worked just fine! I saw the login screen with the walking penguins (xpenguins), the see-through aterm terminal, and all those other things.
The old win 98 on it doesn't understand my external harddrive, but VL had no trouble seeing it. A p2 300 with 1 TB of harddisk! I never believed something like that was possible back when I installed VL on it.
the version is VL 5.0 RC2, which finally became 5.1 STD. It was just after I first started with Linux, apparently only 4,5 years ago. It seems like I used Linux forever

. This version brings back memories, and the best thing is that the old Laptop still works just dandy with it.
Thanks VL!
