There are a couple of libboost_... files "missing" in SOHO B3. Creating the links fixes this.

Do you think I could fix that and rebuild the package, or is this just SOHO B3 specific?

I have not tried this on STD or KDE Classic so I'm not sure if it's SOHO specific. There were just a couple of symlinks that had to be made and all was well. I would suggest waiting until SOHO is final before adjusting your package though.

The specific packages for SOHO b3 that symlinks were needed for are: libboost_regex-gcc42-mt-1_34_1.so.1.34.1 (linked to libboost_regex-mt.so) and libboost_regex-gcc42-mt-1_34_1.so.1.34.1 (linked to libboost_regex-mt.so).

here's how it looks on my side(vl60 light)
Code: [Select]
budulay://usr/lib
budulay:$ ls | grep libboost_regex
libboost_regex-gcc42-1_34_1.so@
libboost_regex-gcc42-1_34_1.so.1.34.1*
libboost_regex-gcc42-mt-1_34_1.so@
libboost_regex-gcc42-mt-1_34_1.so.1.34.1*
libboost_regex-gcc42-mt.so@
libboost_regex-mt.so@
libboost_regex.so@
(the ones with * are the actual executables, and the ones with @ are symlinks to them)

Oops, sorry as I cut and pasted the same file name twice. The other one was libboost_iostreams-gcc42-mt-1_34_1.so.1.34.1 (linked to libboost_iostreams-mt.so.

Code: [Select]
budulay://usr/lib
budulay:$ ls | grep libboost_iostreams-gcc42
libboost_iostreams-gcc42-1_34_1.so@
libboost_iostreams-gcc42-1_34_1.so.1.34.1*
libboost_iostreams-gcc42-mt-1_34_1.so@
libboost_iostreams-gcc42-mt-1_34_1.so.1.34.1*
libboost_iostreams-gcc42-mt.so@

that's what I have concerning the second library.

Can you post the output of "ls | grep libboost" from the /usr/lib directory?
From what I can see it's not a problem with the wesnoth package but rather with B3 SOHO not having the right symlinks(which should probably be bugreported), since the wesnoth package does not install neither it changes any libboost symlinks.("cat /var/log/packages/wesnoth-1.6.5-i586-1vl60 | grep libboost" returns nothing).
That is if I understand the problem correctly.
Would you mind mentioning this in the SOHO B3 bugreport thread(I would do it, but I don't have SOHO installed, therefore I wouldn't be able to give a good description, and answer any followup questions that might arise).
