I have a question.  I have found the neatest program for lil ones to draw on and such.  They do have it in a slackware build.
Code:
http://www.tuxpaint.org/download/linux-slackware/

Is it ok to just go and get this for VL or um what??  Sorry if this is such a silly question just want to make sure I'm doing the right stuff here....

Thanks

I've installed that one myself, on VL6.0 standard I had no problems.  The nice thing about a .tgz file is that it can be just as easily removed as it is installed. So if it does not work just right click and use Remove Package or removepkg 'file' from the command line.

ok thanks I'll give it a go.  This is the neatest program to entertain little ones...

EDIT:  Ok installed it and the stamp package.  All seems to be working perfect here on the old inspiron.  Thanks I'll look at some of those packages a little differently now.  Thanks for the info on the .tgz files.
