toothandnail has built a new Mc package for VectorLinux 6.0.

Code:
mc: mc (GNU Midnight Commander)
mc:
mc: MC is a user shell with a text-mode full-screen interface.
mc: It can be run on the OS console, in xterm and other
mc: terminal emulators. It allows you to manage files while
mc: still having access to the command line. It is simple to
mc: use, and provides virtual filesystem support for compressed
mc: files including LZMA compression.
mc: License: GPL
mc: Authors: Andrej Borsenkow <borsenkow.msk@sni.de> & others
mc: Website: http://www.midnight-commander.org/

After testing this package please stop back here and let us know how it works for you.

Works greats here, with the exception that slapt-get refused to update old mc with this one -  it just installed this one, so I had to remove the old one manually.

Installed fine using gslapt. Really happy to see this great app is maintained.

About gslapt.. lately I have noticed that it doesn't show the expected options when you click on it. On this one, only "Install" was available. However, when I clicked "Apply", final summary showed that it would upgrade, which it did. I've seen this on several other packages too.

Using Gslapt:
Was not offered after update->Mark all upgrades. When selected for install, summary showed it to be an install, not an upgrade. Installed fine, removed old version afterwards using Gslapt.

I'm wondering if this is the policy on full minor revision changes.
