fluxbox
« on: February 13, 2010, 05:06:18 pm »
Hello. I installed VL standard 6.0 with the lxde desktop (no xfce). I did an upgrade via gslapt, installed a few apps, and customized the themes a little bit (dust if anyone's interested). I edited a couple of .desktop files (ripperx and gtkcam) since the entries didn't show up in the menu. But after all that I was missing my fluxbox. So I installed fluxbox using gslapt. For some reason it's not showing up in gdm. Searched the forums, couldn't really find a solution. The closest thing I found was a suggestion to use vasm (as user) and wxmset. But after setting fluxbox as default and logging out/in, I was still in lxde. Any ideas? Thanks.

Yes, thank you. That did the trick. Looks like I have a lot of work to do to customize fluxbox. It should be fun.
