OK... I'm tearing into this issue and here's something really strange. I created the symlinks for /usr/lib/ yet when I input ldd /usr/lib/mozilla/plugin/libflashplayer.so, I'm getting a dependency error on the symlinks as if they don't exist. However, when I go in to create the symlink again, I get a "File exists" message.

OK. Two problems, both of which are solved. First (and I didn't even check this until this morning), Seamonkey wasn't even installed on the notebook! /facepalm

Second, once Seamonkey was installed, there was only one dependency issue (libnss3.so). Deleted the symlink and reapplied. Flash now working in Opera. **whew**
