I did start with Wink. Then I moved to creating voice overs by playing the wink video and capturing it again with Voice included with XVidCap Screen Capture. Wink works well but it is labor intensive. With the latest tutorials, I've been using GTK-Recordmydesktop to capture the video. Then using audacity to record the voice over. Then using Openshot video editor to put the two of them together. Compiz's magnifier function makes things more visible and Openshot's video trickery to add pop in tip windows.
