Revalidate username after open connection to samba server
« on: May 25, 2010, 11:14:34 pm »
I am testing 1 samba using ubuntu and it work like a charm...but I want every time to key in the username and password when I open a share connection. Currently it will ask for the authentication one time and when I open the share folder again I cannot authenticate other user until I logoff the PC. All of the client is windows based PC. Anyone have any idea how to do it?

There are many ways to do that.

Without more information about how things are
setup it is not possible to answer.

Perhaps check with your network administrator?

I setup Samba on alot of servers.

Have you posted this in an Ubuntu or Samba forum?

When asking about samba basic information like smb.conf,
where in the network the server is placed.

Why are you forcing users to constantly authenticate if they
have already done so?
