 Upon further review...perhaps the most economical, functional, all-in-one dektop printer; could be the Canon series. The (software.canon-europe) website provides Linux drivers now for these printers including deb; rpm; & source. Shocked Shocked Shocked
They are more cost effective over the long haul than HP or Lexmark it seems.

I'm using a canon " all in one" printer  for a few yeard now and never had any problems connecting it on my linux boxes. Canon really did a great job here!
