Tom's Hardware is running a series of articles on "
Desktop Linux For The Windows Power User." The Linux that the writer (Adam Overa) uses to demonstrate his points is Ubuntu ... which I suppose is only natural since Ubuntu has been #1 on Distrowatch since May 29th, 1453 (or thereabouts). Still, there's quite a bit in most of the articles which would apply to any Linux distribution. The current installation is about
Office Applications, and there have been previous ones about
Internet Applications and other stuff. The next one will be about multimedia. Some people might find this helpful in addition to the tables which show Linux equivalents for various Windows software.
