sound in VLC but not in XMMS

Vector 6.0 Standard

VLC plays CD's fine, but not XMMS. Any ideas?

Check under options > preferences.

Maybe change the sound module.

I couldn't find the sound module. What tab is that in?

Can you change the default audio CD player to VLC?
