I will download this to test later, but just to save time, the previous build does not have a dependency on mlt, but once you try to run it, you get this:

mlt-0.5.4 was put into testing at the same time as kdenlive which is now included in the dependency list: http://vectorlinux.osuosl.org/veclinux-6.0/source/testing/kde/kde4.2.2/kdenlive/0.7.7.1/slack-required

Hopefully that corrects any previous issues...

Joe1962, thanks for testing.  Could you try build 2 of kdenlive also in the testing repo and see if you get the same result.  Tested OK on my end but a second opinion would ease my mind.
