MMBD alive and well.  I've got a usable MMBD with over 50 applications so far.   Still have room on the disk so if you have any suggestions, fire away.

Here is a little video to see where it is, so far. (You may have to crank the volume.)

Thanks for your efforts! Will this work with VL6? VL6 SOHO?

I pretty sure there will be to much incompatibilty with base depedencies for it to work with vl6.0, but I 'm currently testing on SOHO and I've been able to install a good number of the application on my test soho machine but not all.  I'm also thinking of a separate SOHO version with a greater tendency towards KDE applications.  I was thinking of Standard during the making of this and tried my best to give applications that did not bring in a lot of KDE or Gnome dependencies.  That's why I chose Openshot instead of Kdenlive, AcidRip instead of K9copy, and XFburn instead of K3B.  With a SOHO version I would have no such concern.

recommend the addition of chrome, but i'm a little biased.  i have a lil more time now, so i am going back to working on a slackbuild for chromium.

I don't understand what you're saying. Are there too many incompatibilities for it to work reliably with VL6? You seem to be saying that. But you're not sure about SOHO? What version of VectorLinux was it built on? I think we have a failure to communicate.<g>

Every application on the disk was built on VL7.0alpha2.1, with only VL7.0 in mind.  What I was trying to say was that a better option would be to make a separate SOHO addition of the MMBD.  This would also give an opportunity to add additional KDE based apps that are not included in what will be the VL7.0 standard version.

edit: Just looked into why a number of the apps are failing on Soho.  This one is common enough to be a show stopper on it's own.  VL7.0a.2.1 uses libpng14, Soho uses libpng12, there are a huge amount of incompatibilities between these two and libpng is a very common dependency.

So long story short, if there is to be a MMBD for SOHO, then it will need to be it's own disk with applications built against SOHO.
