I don't understand what you're saying. Are there too many incompatibilities for it to work reliably with VL6? You seem to be saying that. But you're not sure about SOHO? What version of VectorLinux was it built on? I think we have a failure to communicate.<g>

Every application on the disk was built on VL7.0alpha2.1, with only VL7.0 in mind. What I was trying to say was that a better option would be to make a separate SOHO addition of the MMBD. This would also give an opportunity to add additional KDE based apps that are not included in what will be the VL7.0 standard version.
edit: Just looked into why a number of the apps are failing on Soho. This one is common enough to be a show stopper on it's own. VL7.0a.2.1 uses libpng14, Soho uses libpng12, there are a huge amount of incompatibilities between these two and libpng is a very common dependency.
So long story short, if there is to be a MMBD for SOHO, then it will need to be it's own disk with applications built against SOHO.
