Automatically logging out... Is that normal?
« on: June 07, 2010, 05:11:24 am »

My linux box has/had some overheating problems... So I'm not sure if this is hardware or software related but I noticed that after some time left alone, the system automactically logs out to the graphical logon screen.

Is this normal or is there a setting somewhere I can fix this or any ideas how to stop this from happening?

Check your settings in Settings-->Screensaver  bottom left there is a check box for..
Lock Screen after ??? minutes.
Make sure this is unchecked.

Well that box was not checked... BUT I changed from random screensavers to one and now its fine apparently...

I'll just have to manually change the screensaver every so often so I don't get sick of seeing that one.

I guess I won't miss that occasional shock I used to get when the windows blue screen of death screensaver comes up occasionally.
That thing fooled me like 2 or 3 times before I started remembering it was the screensaver.

:)
